About Presidio Hills

Presidio Hills is a historical community in San Diego, California. Today’s residents enjoy many amenities and a close proximity to parks, freeways, stores, restaurants, and services.

Presidio Hills has many luxury estates and a variety of real estate. The San Diego Unified School District is the second largest in the state. Students in this community may attend facilities like Point Loma High School as well as highly ranked Grant Elementary School. There are hundreds of private institutions like the Calvary Christian Academy, Escondido Adventists Academy, the Montessori American School, and Halstrom Academy. Public universities include the University of California (UCSD) and San Diego State University (SDSU) as well as the San Diego Community College District.

Residents are within walking distance to Presidio Park which is where the original permanent European settlement was established. There are not any historic buildings left but this region is designated as a California Historical Landmark as well as a national landmark. Just to the southwest is the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park which is the most visited state park in San Diego. It has buildings dated from 1820 to 1870 and was established in 1968.

The Presidio Hills Golf Course is in between these two parks and offers an 18-hole course with par-3 holes that range from 45 to 100 yards. The Presidio Recreation Center is popular for youth and senior basketball leagues as well as flag football, softball, kickball, karate, and dodgeball.

San Diego is California’s second largest city and the nation’s eighth. Its economy relies on tourism, manufacturing, international trade, and military defense related activities.
